Patton Powell, age 73, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from BP Amoco Chemical Company in Decatur, AL, and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Powell, Sr. and Erna Jordan Powell; and three siblings, Mildred Troup, Johnnie Powell, Jr., and Evadean Powell.  

He is survived by his wife, Connie Powell of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Sherri Caperton (Greg) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Kimberly Powell Krick of Leoma, TN; two grandchildren, Tyler Trammell and Laura Trammell; one step-grandchild,Ty Caperton; three great-grandchildren, Jayden Trammell, Carlie Trammell, and Zane Cooksey; one brother, Elbert Powell of Mt. Pleasant, TN; one sister, Virginia Warhurst of Lewisburg, TN; sisters-in-law, Juanita Powell of Lawrenceburg, TN and Pauline Rosson of Summertown, TN; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim & Shirley Jaco of Lawrenceburg, TN.  Those serving as pallbearers are Roger Powell, Ronnie Powell, Gerald Troup, Doug Troup, George Troup, Jonathan Williams, Jordan Williams, and Tyler Trammell.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2017, with Jeff Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
