Charles Franklin Dixon, age 92, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Genesco, and a member of Deerfield Baptist Church. Mr. Dixon served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a Purple Heart receipient.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beulah Alley Dixon; his wife, Laura Ruth Frakes Dixon; and two brothers, Thomas Dixon and Donald Dixon.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016, with Ken McCafferty officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN with full military honors.
