Winford Calhoun

Winford Calhoun, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, October 08, 2020 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, TN.  He was a native of Huntsville, TN, retired from Sharp Transport, and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.  Mr. Calhoun served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.  He also served as the DAV Department of Tennessee Treasurer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Elbert and Imogene Botts Calhoun.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Calhoun of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, David Calhoun (Kristy) of Lebanon, TN; one granddaughter, Brittany Calhoun of Lebanon, TN; one sister, Becky Lawson of Pioneer, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2020, with Chad Moore officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.  Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association or DAV.
