Wilma Mae Hayes Softcheck

Wilma Mae Hayes Softcheck, age 73, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Savannah, TN, a homemaker, and of the Baptist Faith. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Jackson Hayes; her mother, Frances Roberts Hayes Phillips; her husband, Richard Softcheck; one grandson, Clint Messer; two brothers, William Hayes and Bobby Hayes; and one sister, Jackie Hayes Clifton.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Chaney (Vic) of Pass Christian, MS; two sons, Charlie Hayes (Kristi) of Leoma, TN and Zach Softcheck of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers, John Nelson Hayes (Janice) of AZ and Jimmy Hayes  (Barbara) of Pulaski, TN; seven grandchildren, Magan Sears, Corey Duberry, Macy Beth Hayes, Carlie Weeks, Victoria Chaney, Becca Newton, and Hunter Curtis; and eleven great-grandchildren, Josie, Tyler, Akera, Macarria, Clint, Kash, Tately, Linda Lou, Destyni, Berklee, and Ryan.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2020, with Chad Moore officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
