Valerie Jo Belew Slater

Valerie Jo Belew Slater, age 66, of Prospect, TN passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at her residence.  She was a native of Toledo, OH, a homemaker, and a member of Second Street Church of Christ in Pulaski, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Etoile Murdock Belew; one son, Jimmy D. Kennedy; one step-son, Kevin Slater; one sister, Deborah Quillen; and one brother, Jerry Dale Belew. 

She is survived by

One Daughter - 
Tina Kennedy Slater (Brian), Prospect, TN

Five Grandchildren

Melissa Creek (Andrew), Cookeville, TN

One Nephew - 
Michael Quillen, Nashville, TN

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2019, with Larry Murdock officiating.  Interment will follow at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
