Tonya Barron Mansfield

Tonya Barron Mansfield, age 57, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday August 1, 2019. She was a native of Clarksdale, MS, retired teacher from the Lawrence County School System, and a member of Faith Church.

A loving mother and wife, Tonya cherished her children and family. Tonya never met a stranger and never left a room without making her mark. Her passionate, fun-loving personality led her to work with students and impact their lives for years to come. Tonya had a knack for making things special, from entertaining as the matriarch of her growing family to her Tuesday Tea Time with Tay.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Barron; son, Tucker Mansfield; and mother-in-law, Sue Nickell. She is survived by husband of 36 years, Greg Mansfield of Lawrenceburg, TN, three sons, Brett Mansfield (Alissa) of Nashville, TN, Hunter Mansfield (Kylie) of Lawrenceburg, TN, AND Heath Mansfield of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Emmeline, Virginia, Tay and Barrett; mother, Robbie Barron of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers Barry Barron (Denise) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Ken Mansfield (Kathy) of Madison, MS; and special niece Betsy Potter of Lawrenceburg, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, TN. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 7:00PM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg at 2:00PM Sunday, August 4, 2019 with Caleb Canoles and Jeff Vanlandingham officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to World Vision or Lawrenceburg Public School Library.
