Sophia Louise Fleeman

Sophia Louise Fleeman, age 94, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at her residence.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a loving and devoted mother, and a devout Catholic. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Joseph and Cecilia Whitehead Niedergeses; one son, Rex Anthony Fleeman; four brothers, Bishop James D. Niedergeses, John Niedergeses, Ed Niedergeses, and Frank Niedergeses; and two sisters, Roberta Vernon and Martha Webb.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, James E. Fleeman of Lawrenceburg, TN; three children, Joseph Roy Fleeman of Lawrenceburg, TN, Janie Tipper (Dennis) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Danny Fleeman (Norma) of St. Joseph, TN; four grandchildren, Jill Gowen (Chad) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Katie Tipper (Ruthie) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ashley Kilpatrick (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Chase Fleeman (Tasha) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; five great-grandchildren, Cali Gowen, Cate Gowen, Kloe Kilpatrick, Zoe Kilpatrick, and Kimber Fleeman.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 31, 2023, with Billy Beal officiating.  Interment will follow at May Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
