Shelby Jean Grimsley Obituary

Shelby Jean Grimsley, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at her residence. She was a native of Porterdale, GA, retired from South Central Human Resource Agency, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library and The Study Club; and helped with Habitat for Humanity,

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Elsie Blackstone Estes; her husband, Donald Eugene Grimsley; one son, Paul Grimsley; one daughter, Lois Grimsley; and two brothers, Thomas Estes and Lubie Estes.

She is survived by three sons, Steven Grimsley (Lori) of Brookfield, MO, Ronald Grimsley of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Robert Grimsley of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Leslie Cross (Mark) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Buddy Estes of El Paso, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Abild of Atlantic, IA; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Family suggests memorials be made to Loaves and Fishes Ministry, First United Methodist Church or Lawrence County Public Library.
