Sandra "Sandy" Casteel

Sandra "Sandy" Casteel, age 82, of Ethridge, TN passed away Sunday, December 03, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She was a native of Streator, IL, formerly employed at Dura Automotive, and a member of Sonset Fellowship Church.  Sandy loved riding motorcycles and traveling. 

She was preceded in death by her father, William Gochanour; her mother, Ardeth Helen Connell Kelly; her life partner, Curt Casteel; one son, Curtis Lee Casteel; and one granddaughter, Angie White.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Akins (Junior) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Joey Casteel and Terry Casteel (Peggy) both of Ethridge, TN; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 06, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 07, 2023, with Grant Pavy officiating.  Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Giles County, TN.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
