Sammy Eugene Head, Sr.

Sammy Eugene Head, Sr., age 72, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, January 07, 2023, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Burleson Scrap Metal, and of the Baptist Faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Naomi Beard Head; his wife, Bonnie Shepherd Head; one son, Sammy Head, Jr.; one daughter, Kathryn Irene Head Tomlin; one brother, Steven Head; one sister, Sue Atwell; and one grandson, Jacob Head.

He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Head (Brenda) of Ethridge, TN, and Larry Head (Linda), Brighton, MI; three sisters, Martha Ann Burleson of Waynesboro, TN, Rhonda Burns of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Wilma Lee Belew of Lawrenceburg, TN; and four grandchildren, Justin Head of Brighton, MI, Josh Head of Brighton, MI, Karen Workman of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Selene Tomlin of Summertown, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with Alice Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
