Ruthie Jane Houser

Ruthie Jane Houser, age 89, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Christian Faith. She was also the overseer of Houser Cemetery for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashley "Dick" and Bessie Lee Story Luna; one sister, Rosie Daniels; and four brothers, Marshall Luna, R.C. Luna, William Luna, and Edmond Luna.

She is survived by seven brothers and sisters, David Luna (Barbara) of Loretto, TN, John Luna (Susie) of Loretto, TN, Virgil Luna of Lawrenceburg, TN, Connie Beckman of Lawrenceburg, TN, Pearl Murphy (Mike) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Maudie Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Neeley Luna of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, November 04, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 04, 2023, with Edd Luna officiating.  Interment will follow at Houser Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Houser Cemetery Fund.
