Ruby Jewell Brown

Ruby Jewell Brown, age 89, of Leoma, TN passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at her residence.  She was a native of Appleton, TN, retired school bus driver for Giles County, and a member of Victory Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal Brown and Lucille Glass Norwood; her husband Robert Wade Brown; one son, Dewey Wade Long; two sisters, Joyce Ann Norwood and Shelby Jean West; and two brothers, Paul Norwood and Theo Norwood.

She is survived by four daughters, Jean White of AL, Shelia Burleson (Larry) of Summertown, TN, Debbie Long (Purvin) of FL, and Rita Newton (Gary) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Donald Long of Leoma, TN, and Dennis Long (Debra) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Charles Norwood (Margaret) of Pulaski, TN; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2023, with Ronnie Runnels and Scotty Long officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
