Robert Troy Garland

Robert Troy Garland entered into rest and went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021.  He was a native of Lawrence County, Tennessee, a farmer, and a retired supervisor of Murray Ohio Manufacturing Plant, a long standing member and deacon of the County Line Primitive Baptist Church.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louisa Garland.  Also his wife, Juanita Marlowe Garland; brothers, Rubin, Wayne, Carl, Rufus, Earl, and Hubert Garland; his sisters, Willa Dean Glover and Artie Tice; two infant sisters; son-in-law, Lonnie Long; daughter-in-law, Vicky Garland; and grandson, Jason Garland.

He is survived by his sisters, Nora Jean Matthews, Iva Dell Self, and sister-in-law, Ruby Garland, his children, Ricky Garland, Sheila Long, Danny (Helen) Garland, and Ronnie (Cathy) Garland; his grandchildren, Avery (Jenny) Long, Kristy (Phillip) Cockrell, Jesse (Patty), Daniel (Candace) Garland, Bradley Garland, Bryan Garland, and Brett Garland; great-grandchildren, Ryan Long, Hailey Long, and Trinity Garland.  He will be greatly missed until we meet again.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, December 27, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2021, with David Williams and David Parr officiating.  Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
