Mattie Ozell Bivens

Mattie Ozell Bivens, age 93, of Leoma, TN passed away Thursday, June 04, 2020 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Fall River United Methodist Church.  She was a foster parent for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie and Martha Melissa Johnston White; her husband, Solon Bivens; two sisters, Pauline Howell and Georgia Ruth McDougal; and one brother, Edward M. White.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Tucker (Gerald), Joan Stephens (Richard), and Joyce Evans, all of Leoma, TN; one brother, Delma White (Dorothy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Vickie Woody, Marsha Parish, Amy Austin, Cricket Gooch, Gina Pierce, Ryan Hillhouse, Dana Jackson, and Casey Hillhouse; and ten great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Fall River Cemetery at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 06, 2020, with Ray McDonald officiating.  Family suggests memorials be made to Fall River Cemetery.
