Martha Ruth Clark

Martha R. Clark, 84, Lawrenceburg, TN, formerly of Springport, IN, went to be home with the Lord Thursday, August 13, 2020.  She passed peacefully with her family by her side.  Martha was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many.

Martha was born October 5, 1935 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Ralph and Mary Lou (Woodall) Durham.  She married Robert L. Clark in Lawrenceburg, TN on July 27, 1954.  Martha and her husband previously lived in Muncie, IN and Springport, IN.

Martha retired from Heritage House Convalescent Center in 1995.  She was a former member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Muncie, IN and also attended Mars Hill Baptist Church for the last 8 years.  She loved gardening, collecting Blue Ridge dinnerware and dearly loved her family and friends.

Martha is survived by her three sons, James Sr. (wife Theresa) Clark of Brownsville, IN, Robert Clark of Lawrenceburg, TN, Steve (wife Jennifer) Clark of Huntington, IN; one daughter, Melissa (husband James) Dodge of Anderson, IN; one brother, Buddy Durham of Dearborn, MI; and one sister, Stella (husband Glenn) Wheeley of Lawrenceburg, TN.  Also surviving are her 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Martha was preceded in death by both parents, her brother, William Durham and her beloved husband.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, August 17, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, August 17, 2020, with Mickey Brackin officiating.  Interment will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, IN.
