Marian Denise Fleming Dryden Obituary

On Thursday, May 28, 2020, Marian Denise Fleming Dryden, 53, loving wife, daughter, mother of 5, and friend to many, passed peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Marian was born on June 15, 1966, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, the only child to Larry and Pamela (Green) Fleming. On June 6, 1988, she became a mother to Brett Allen McDavid. On October 8, 1989, her daughter, Laura Elizabeth Wood (McDavid) was born.

On June 20, 1998, she married Johnny Alexander Dryden, father of Hope, Holley and Heather and they blended their families, spending the next 22 years serving God, making many cherished memories, and growing in their love for one another.

Marian had a passion for serving others and could never let a need go unmet. She was known for her consistent words of encouragement, her love of those in her community, and her dedication to her church family.

She loved to cook and was known for her world class slaw and fried okra. She was also known for her quick wit, infectious smile and often her unfiltered honesty.

She spent the last 15 years as a beloved member of Alliance Title & Escrow in Florence, Alabama. She often spoke of her coworkers as extended family.

The most important thing she ever did for herself and for her family was showing them how to lean on God throughout life’s ebbs and flows. Marian spent the majority of her adult life preparing for the moment she would meet her Savior, and now she has.

Marian is survived by her husband, Johnny Dryden, her parents, Larry and Pam Fleming of Bath Springs, Tennessee, her children Brett McDavid of Summertown, Tennessee, Laura Wood of Booneville, Mississippi, Holley Dryden of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Heather and Sean Belew of Leoma, Tennessee, Hope and Michael Coffman of Leoma, Tennessee, and her grandchildren, Ryleigh Belew, Blakeley and John Pierce Sills, Haylee and Colton Coffman.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations will be accepted for the Honduras Mission fund in care of the Clifton Church of Christ.  Nothing would please Marian more than to see this work and her beloved Honduras family be blessed in her honor.
