Margaret Emeline McCafferty

Margaret Emeline McCafferty, age 89, of Livingston, TN, formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Methodist Faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florence Henson Norwood; her husband, Orlando F. McCafferty; six brothers, Edward Norwood, Neal Norwood, Stanley Norwood, Harvey Norwood, Clifford Norwood, and Lloyd Norwood; and one sister, Virgie Wairse.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Castro (Randy) of Cookeville, TN, and Vicki Dorris (Bernice) of Smyrna, TN; two sons, Perry McCafferty of Smyrna, TN, and David McCafferty (Joanne) of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, with John Horne officiating.  Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.  The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
