Madison Shelton Barnett, Sr.

Madison Shelton Barnett, Sr., age 79, of Summertown, TN passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.  He was a native of Lincoln County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and of the Baptist Faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earnest Barnett, Sr. and Ruby Bradford Barnett; one sister, Pearl DiGiorgio; and three brothers, Ben Barnett, Danny Barnett, and Dwight Barnett.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Goodlett Barnett of Summertown, TN; three sons, Shelton Barnett (Renee) of Lawrenceburg, TN, William Howard Barnett (Vickie) of Leoma, TN, and Chris Barnett (Tina) of Summertown, TN; one brother, William Earnest Barnett, Jr. of Leoma, TN; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Barnett of Florence, AL; and three grandchildren, Eric Barnett (Hannah), Brooke Barnett, and Leanne Barnett.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2020.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
