Lydia K. Shaffer

Lydia K. Shaffer, age 95, of Ethridge, TN passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She was a native of Nuremberg, Germany, a homemaker, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Klara Forstner Poehlmann; and three brothers, Hans Poehlmann, Benno Poehlmann, and Kurt Poehlmann.

She is survived by one son, Mike Shaffer of Ethridge, TN; one niece; and three nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, January 04, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.  Funeral mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg at 10:30 AM Friday, January 05, 2024, with Father Andrew Forsythe officiating.  Interment will follow at Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.
