Lucille Moore

Lucille Moore, age 93, of Leoma, TN passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She was a native of Wayne County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Williams Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Iron City, TN. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erbie K. and Pearl Daniel Stooksberry; her husband, Rayford B. Moore; two sisters, Annie Holden and Clura Richter; and three brothers, Alvin Stooksberry, Edward Stooksberry, and Terry Stooksberry.

She is survived by two sons, Travis Moore (Diane) of Leoma, TN and Dennis Moore (Tammy) of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Marjorie Evelyn Stooksberry of Leoma, TN and Pauline Williams of Iron City, TN; one brother, Elzie Stooksberry of Trussville, AL; four grandchildren, Alesha Moore, Katelyn Bogus (Caleb), David Orr (Abbie), and Joseph Orr (Jessica); eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Hollis Cemetery in Wayne County, TN at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2023, with David Simmerman officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to Williams Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 2871 Railroad Bed Road, Iron City, TN 38463.
