Liz Jordan

It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lizzie Lee Jordan, lifetime daughter of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.   She entered this life on April 13, 1946.  She went home to be with The Lord on November 30, 2021. 

She was a firm believer in Jesus Christ.  Liz lived for her family and raised two fine daughters.  Everyone in town knew her as a lady of style and will miss seeing her sitting out on the porch relaxing or shopping in Kroger and Walmart.  Liz loved to cook and hosted Sunday dinner for her extended family for many years. True to her Southern heritage, she made the most mouth-watering turnip greens with macaroni and cheese!  

Goodbye Lizzie. We will miss you but know that you are at peace and with the Lord. 

Liz is survived by her two daughters, Yolanda Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN Monique Docherty (Peter) of The United Kingdom; her beloved grandson Darius Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; her great-granddaughter Zamari Smith; one sister; Sarah Avery of Dayton, Ohio; one brother; Bobby Blair of Dayton, Ohio; her ex-husband and lifetime friend Ben Jordan of Lawrenceburg, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021, with Michael Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
