Lennie Ruth Dixon

Lennie Ruth Dixon, age 93, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg.  She was a native of AL, a homemaker, and a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Minne Coleman Venable; her husband, Grady G. Dixon; one son, Jerry Jason Dixon; one sister, Inez Venable; two brothers, Chester Venable and Lester Venable; daughter-in-law, Kathy Dixon; and sister-in-law, Pearline Methvin.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Staggs (Thomas), Joan Hargrove (Troy), and Janet Gamble; two sons, John W. Dixon and Jeff Dixon (Sandy); three sisters-in-law, Jean Bowen (Bill), Patty Benson, and Carolyn Venable; twelve grandchildren, Teresa Fraley (Gary), Jennifer Flippo (Chris), Melissa Crews, Kim Hargrove, Tim Hargrove (Natalie), Diane Gunn, Zacheray Gamble, Amber Barrier (Jeremy), Richard Dixon (Jennifer), Logan Dixon, Bradley Dixon, and Paul Dixon; two step-grandchildren, Tony Renier and Wesley Renier; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 17, a private graveside service was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
