Obituary

Kathy L. Van Vickle passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama from Covid Pneumonia.  

Kathy grew up in Foley, Alabama and loved the Gulf Coast.  She was the loving wife and best friend of Dan Van Vickle for 41+ years.  They met in Franklin, TN in 1981 and moved to Lawrenceburg in 1984.  She was a retired Dental Hygienist.  She was the beloved mother of John Hays Van Vickle, mother-in-law of Valerie Van Vickle and beyond proud grandmother of Andie Leigh Van Vickle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy LaRue; and brother, Mike LaRue.

She is survived by, in addition to her loving and devoted husband, son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter; sister-in-law, Georgia "Pinky" Van Vickle; nieces, Lyndsay (Hiro) Fukai and Julia (Doug) Hutchison; nephews, Grant (Diane) LaRue, Winston LaRue, and Rhett (Mary Tom) Van Vickle; many Facebook friends and phone buddies.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  A private graveside service and entombment will be held at a later date at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN.
