Jeanette Powell

Jeanette Powell, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Baptist Faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Birdie and Pearl Anna Jones Chandler; her husband, Roy Powell, Sr.; three brothers, John Chandler, Lavaughn Chandler, and Paul Chandler; and one sister, Helen Bradley.

She is survived by two sons, Michael R. Powell and Roy Powell, Jr. (Karen) both of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren, Jill Moore (Brice) of Five Points, TN and Lindsay Powell of Lawrenceburg, TN; beloved dog, Sadie; special friend, Melinda Goolsby; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2020, with Max Kimbley officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
