Jacky Lee "Jack" Grinnell

June 22, 1957 ~ April 10, 2020 (age 62)


Jacky Lee “Jack” Grinnell, age 62, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at NHC Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired police officer with the City of Lawrenceburg, retired membership sales manager with AirMedCare Network, owner of Bad Boys Dive Center where he was a ADLS (Advance Disaster Life Support) Instructor, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg.  Jack was a member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club where he served as Middle TN District Fair Boss from 2005 - 2007, Rotary President from 2009 - 2010, and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a member of American Red Cross of Lawrenceburg, Gandy Volunteer Fire Department EMR, Box 50, FOP Natchez Trace Lodge #33, Lawrence County Skywarn, South Central Medical Reserve Corp., and Tennessee Squire.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jaclyn Chelsea Grinnell; his parents, Virgil Lee and Ann Kelly Grinnell; and two brothers Jimmy Grinnell and Jerry “Rat” Grinnell.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debbie Grinnell of Lawrenceburg, TN; his in-laws, Glynda Grinnell, Olen and Diane Springer, and Donna and Gary Norwood all of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews; Lawrenceburg Rotary Family; fifteen international sons and daughters, Benedikt (Germany), Ali (Iraq), Sopo (Georgia), Sima (Palestine), Junia (Brazil), Liuba (Ukraine), Nouck (Belgium), Tatyana (Russia), Ingvild (Norway), Annika (Germany), Sara (Finland), Mari (Norway), Majo (Ecuador), Linus (Germany), and Ernesto (Venezuela); son, Nick Grinnell (Nicole) of Georgia; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Family suggests memorials be made to Gandy Volunteer Fire Department or Box 50.
