Harry Phillip McCandless

Harry Phillip McCandless, age 72, of Ethridge, TN passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020, at his residence.  He was a native of Maury County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Fleming McCandless; his mother, Netty Holt McCandless Berry; one step-son, Timothy Lee Putnam; and four brothers, Lanny McCandless, Roy McCandless, Jerry McCandless, and James McCandless.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean McCandless of Ethridge, TN; one daughter, Sherrie Dawn Estes (Tim) of Culleoka, TN; two step-sons, Keith Putnam (Tammy) of Evansville, IN and Steve Putnam (Sheri) of Pulaski, TN; one step-daughter, Cynthia Lunn of Columbia, TN; three sisters, Faye Estes (Eddie) of Columbia, TN, Linda Howell (Bobby) of Hohenwald, TN, and Bonnie Dale of Lewisburg, TN; one brother, Carnell McCandless (Sheila) of Lynnville, TN; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2020, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Mars Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2020, with Mickey Brackin and Barry Fralix officiating.  Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Giles County, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
