Faye Venable

Faye Venable, age 83, of Ethridge, TN was reunited with her forever valentine, Doris Guy on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from the Lawrence County School System where she worked in the Ethridge School lunchroom, and a member of Ethridge United Methodist Church. She loved children, gardening, coloring, and putting puzzles together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harrison and Eliza Norwood Collins; her husband of 57 years, Doris Guy Venable; two sisters, Myrtle Webster and Jo Jackson; one grandchild, Leslie Ann Degan; and one great-grandchild, Weston Venable. 

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Hamlin (Robert) of Loretto, TN; three sons, Stuart Venable (Hermelinda) of Layton, UT, Owen Venable (Sharon) of Ethridge, TN, and Kevin Venable of Lawrenceburg, TN; special daughter, Ramona Crepeau; one sister, Penelope Kirby of Ocean Springs, MS; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024, with Bobby Gobble officiating.  Interment will follow at Old Ethridge Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.  The family suggests memorials be made to Ethridge United Methodist Church or Old Ethridge Cemetery Fund.
