Dorinda Joyce Hulen Woods

Dorinda Joyce Hulen Woods, age 72, of Corinth, TX passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 with her family by her side in Denton, TX.  She was born to Frank and Dora Lee Hulen on March 29, 1947 in Lawrenceburg, TN.  She grew up with lots of family around on a small farm.  She attended Middle Tennessee State University and received a bachelor's degree in biology.   

Dorinda married Robert Michael Woods on May 23, 1968.  They traveled alot together because he was in the Air Force.  They also traveled for fun in their RV all over the United States.  

In 1977, they had a daughter.  They were the best parents.  After she was born, they traveled with her.  Her daughter married and gave them two grandchildren and many years later they had two great-grandchildren.  She was a great daughter, sister, wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandma, and great-grandma.  She will be deeply missed and we loved her with all our hearts.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dora Lee Hulen; brother, Glen Hulen; and husband, Robert Michael Woods.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sam and Mikelle Patterson; one granddaughter, Tiffany Patterson; one grandson and wife, Samuel and Taylor Patterson; two great-grandkids, Keeton Michael and Mallory Reese Patterson; three brothers and their spouses, Kyle and Betty Hulen, Wayne and Eloise Hulen, and Van and Nancy Hulen; and two sisters and their spouses, Debbie Riddle and Janice and Monte Helton.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 22, a private graveside service was held at Chapel Grove Cemetery.
