David C. Caperton, Jr.

David C. Caperton, Jr., age 84, of Brentwood, TN passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Alive Hospice Residence Nashville.  He was a native of Old Hickory, TN, retired supervisor from Ford Motor Company, and a member of Grace Baptist Church.  Mr. Caperton served his country in the U.S. Army. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, David C. Caperton, Sr. and Ella Mae Story Caperton; three sisters, Juanita Martin, Joyce Chinique, and Linda Ledford; son-in-law, Greg Murtha; and daughter-in-law, Courtney Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Roselyn Caperton of Brentwood, TN; one daughter, Tracey Caperton Murtha of Brentwood, TN; one son, David Caperton III of Nashville, TN; one grandson, Jackson Cole Murtha of Brentwood, TN; one sister, Patricia Hunter of Charlotte, TN; one brother, Michael Caperton (Karla) of Madison, TN; several nieces and nephews.  Those serving as pallbearers will be Jackson Murtha, David Caperton III, Connor Nystrom, James Cullum, Uzziel Sandria, and Susan Robinson.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home.  Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 2:30 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021, with Tracey Caperton Murtha officiating.
