David "Bud" Slater

David "Bud" Slater, age 83, of Leoma, TN passed away Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, self-employed carpenter and farmer, and a member of Leoma Church of Christ. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Ruby Bailey Slater; his wife, Mary Ruth Gladney Slater; three sisters, Joyce Hughes, Hulda Horton, and Tharon Ray Slater; and one brother, J.C. Slater.

He is survived by one daughter, Pam Bonee (Jeff) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Brad Slater (Krystal) and Tim Slater (Paula), both of Leoma, TN; one sister, Janis Appleton (Rex) of St. Joseph, TN; three brothers, Van Slater (Janet) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Keith Slater, Prospect, TN, and Sam Slater (Nita) of Lawrenceburg, TN; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020, with Rodney Livingston officiating.
