Mr. Charles H. "Shorty" Williams, Jr., age 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Mr. Williams grew up as a youth in Lawrenceburg, TN. For the past 60 years, Mr. Williams has lived in Wheelersburg, OH where he was a contractor and member of Carpenters Local Union #437. His favorite pastime was working on his farm and attending heavy equipment auctions.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Viva Sue (Shaffer) Williams. He is also survived by his daughter Pam Williams Ishie (Mike) of Nashville, TN; sister June Hockaday (John) of Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Maria Nicole Williams and Charles Paul Williams of Chillicothe, OH and Elizabeth Ishie Farris (Matt) of Collierville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry Williams, Sr. and Zola Ann Campbell Williams; his son, Charles "Tim" Williams; and sisters Helen Williams, Berniceal Marston, Okaleen LeMay, and Gloria Thomason.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Mimosa Cemetery at 4:00 PM Friday, September 18, 2015, with Reggie Coleman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution, designated "In Memory of Charles "Shorty" Williams", to Nashville Alzheimer's Association, 4825 Trousdale Drive #220, Nashville, TN 37220.
