Charles C. Hammett

Charles C. Hammett, age 93, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, February 03, 2019 at Country Cottage in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, a farmer, and a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.  Mr. Hammett served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. G. and Ada Benefield Hammett; and his wife, Martha Jewell Cross Hammett.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM Saturday, February 09, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment with full military honors will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 09, 2019, with Greg Ivey and Joe Taylor officiating. Family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, c/o Tony Bradburn, 74 Cross Road, Ethridge, TN 38456.
