Bonnie Mae Smith Appleton Lumpkins

Bonnie Mae Smith Appleton Lumpkins, age 85, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.  She was a native of Leoma, TN, a homemaker, and of the Church of Christ Faith.  If you have ever gone to yard sales or Goodwill chances are you have met her.  Mama loved pretty things. She was known to be dressed in something different every day.  She loved her clothes, jewelry, and shopping.  She had resided at the Lions Apartments for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Zenobia Smith; four sisters, Imogene, Ivagene, Nell, and Betty; three brothers, JR, Lynn, and Tom; and one grandson, Jamie Kelley.

She is survived by three daughters, Regina Kelley (Randy) of Leoma, TN, Sheena Cheatwood Reed (Howard) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Sheila English of Cedar City, UT; nine grandchildren, Jarrod Kelley (Misty) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Josh Kelley of Five Points, TN, Jeremy Cheatwood (Rebecca) of Leoma, TN, Brian Cheatwood (Hiliary) of Chattanooga, TN, Casey Suratt (Josh) of Leoma, TN, Ashley Walsen of TX, Rory English (Felicia) of MT, Wyatt English (Tuesday) of MT, and Kloe English of UT; and sixteen great-grandchildren, Justin, Ethan, Hudson, and Sophia Kelley of Lawrenceburg, TN, Emily Cheatwood of Lawrenceburg, TN, Jackson Cheatwood, Tucker and Brodie Suratt of Leoma, TN, Zelda Cheatwood of Chattanooga, TN, Brody and Bentley Bullock of UT, Darcel, Hazel Mae, and Winchester English of MT, and Eli and Maximus Lomas of TX. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Neal Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Westpoint, TN.
