Bobby Joe Pope

Bobby Joe Pope, age 71, of Ethridge, TN passed away Monday, February 03, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Wayne County, TN, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, past president of the Lawrence County Classics Car Club, and former City Manager of Ethridge. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey B. and Audrey Ann Davis Pope.

He is survived by wife, Patsy Pope of Ethridge, TN; one son, Robert Pope (Ashlee) of Columbia, TN; one step-daughter, Stella Burns of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren, Natalee Pope and Owen Pope; one sister, Clara Nell Vencion of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 05, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 06, 2020, with N. J. Pope and Tim Owen officiating.  Interment will follow at Buchanan Cemetery in Wayne County, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to the Gateway Church Kids Ministry in Franklin, TN, 1288 Lewisburg Pike, Franklin, TN 37064.
