Bernice Geneva Lemay

Bernice Geneva Lemay, age 90, of Ethridge, TN passed away Thursday, August 05, 2021, at her residence.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Service Merchandise, and a member of First United Pentecostal Church. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Thompson; her mother, Virgie Birdyshaw Thompson Green; her husband, Hughie Campbell Lemay; daughter-in-law, Pam Lemay; one son, Sidney Lemay; and one great-grandson, Bailey Hammond.

She is survived by four sons, Jerry Lemay (Gloria) of Ethridge, TN, Terry Lemay (Antonia) of Hendersonville, TN, James Lemay of Ethridge, TN, and David Lemay (Jennifer) of Hendersonville, TN; two brothers, J. V. Thompson of Sidney, OH and Morris Thompson of Ethridge, TN; one sister, Floyce Dunn (Dutch) of Lawrenceburg, TN; twelve grandchildren, Jamie Lemay Jones (Chris), Angel McNeal (Randy), Gwendolyn Coursey, Kevin Lemay (Mary), Jay Lemay (Pam), Cory Lemay, Megan Johnson (Jeremy), Amanda Hammond (Rick), Michael Lemay (Ashley), Dylan Lemay (Cheyenne), Brittney Martin (Michael), and Lisci Lemay; sixteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.  Those serving as pallbearers will be Kevin, Jay, Cory, Michael, Dylan, and Nathan.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 08, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, August 09, 2021, with Roy Staggs and Dusty Frierson officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
