Anthony Dwight Johnson

Anthony Dwight Johnson, age 65, of Nashville, TN passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, substitute teacher for Wilson County Schools, and a member of Northside Church of Christ in Goodlettsville, TN.  Mr. Johnson was an avid sports fan, song leader, and loved his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leslie and Martha Frances Wilkerson Johnson; and two brothers, Steven Johnson and William Clay Johnson. 

He is survived by his wife, Katie Johnson of Lebanon, TN; one daughter, Katrina Jones of Murfreesboro, TN; one son, Brian Jones of Smyrna, TN; two step-daughters, Jackie Beasley (Patrick) of Lebanon, TN and Cynthia Ransom (Ephriam) of Atlanta, GA; two step-sons, Bobby Brooks of Lebanon, TN and Nathaniel Glover (Kristy) of Murfreesboro, TN; a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews; one sister, Mary Woodson (Frank) of Nashville, TN; and four brothers, Phillip Randolph Johnson (Barbara) of Spring Hill, TN, Michael Johnson (Mary) of Nashville, TN, Richard Johnson (Beverly) of Columbia, TN and Patrick Johnson (Denise) of Lebanon, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 17, a private graveside service was held at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
