Alline Burdette

Alline Burdette, age 94, of Summertown, TN passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at her residence.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie James Phillips; her mother, Elizabeth Crum Phillips Lyons; her husband, Eugene Burdette; one son, Larry Burdette; two sisters, Ruby Lyons and  Pauline Stephenson; and three brothers, Delmars Phillips, James Phillips, and J.C. Lyons.

She is survived by one son, Billy Burdette (Glenda) of Summertown, TN; one daughter, Shelia Burdette (JR) of Lawrenceburg, TN; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Francis Smith of Nashville, TN and Marjorie Short of Lawrenceburg, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2020, with David Parr officiating.  Mrs. Burdette will lie in state from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.  Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery in Giles County, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to Westside Cemetery Fund.
