Vida Mae Ferrell Owens, age 89, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Liberty Grove, TN, a retired teacher, and a member of Bonnertown United Methodist Church and Loretto Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock Talmadge and Roma Yarbrough Ferrell; her husband, Laymon Owens; and four sisters, Essie Ferrell, Dessie Krompegal, Lovisa Birdyshaw, and Dorothy Roper Ingram.

She is survived by

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2017.  Interment will follow at Grassy Cemetery in Lauderdale County, AL.  Family suggests memorials be made to Grassy Cemetery, Abigail's Plan or First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceburg.
