Myrl Marie Matthews

Myrl Marie Matthews, age 90, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at her residence.  She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired Cosmetology Instructor at Lawrence County High School, and of the Catholic Faith.  She was also a member of the National Hairdressers Association and Pilot Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Marion and Emma Ruth Ramsey Hill; and her husband, Joseph Capel Matthews.

She is survived by one daughter, Sarah Ruth Ligon (William Ludwig Hartmann) of Newland, NC; one sister, Marion Marks of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers, Thelton Hill of Columbia, TN and Burl Hill of Pulaski, TN; and nephew, Randy Marks of Lawrenceburg, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home.  Graveside services and interment will be conducted at John Lay Cemetery at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2019, with Father Joseph Mundakal officiating.
