James Boyd Pilkinton, age 89, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Springer Road Church of Christ.  Mr. Pilkinton served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Willie Emma Hardin Pilkinton.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 24, 2017, with Ed Daniel officiating.  Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
