Francis J. Davis, age 89, of Nashville, TN passed away Monday, September 04, 2017 at Good Samaritan Health and Rehab Center in Antioch, TN.  He was a native of Muncie, IN, and retired Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army where he served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era.  He was also a member of Disabled American Veterans and Summertown Baptist Church, and a former member of Mimosa Lodge No. 542 and Order of the Eastern Star #103.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Thurman and Hattie Emma Daniels Davis;  and his wife, Helen Louise Pyles Davis.

He is survived by

Janette Lanier (Thomas), Antioch, TN

One Grandson -
Lawrence Davis Lanier, Nashville, TN

One Granddaughter -
Elizabeth Hope Lanier, Los Angeles, CA

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 07, 2017, with Thomas Mattox officiating.  Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
