Evelyn Glass

Evelyn Gretchen Gibson Glass, age 94, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, March 01, 2019, at her residence.  She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.

Born Thursday, October 23, 1924 in Lawrence County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Taylor Gibson and the late Mable Marston Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, L. G. Glass of Lawrence County; her granddaughter, Deanna Boston; and two sisters, Mary Lydia Bivens and Ruth White.

She is survived by her daughters, Mable Mosley of Leoma, TN, Linda Robertson (Raleigh) of Leoma, TN, Emily Fife of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Ruthie Glass of Lawrenceburg, TN; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Thelma Doss of Leoma, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 03, 2019 and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, March 04, 2019 at Gum Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at Gum Springs Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Monday, March 04, 2019, with Chad Clanton officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.  Family suggests memorials be made to Gum Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
