Elaine Stout Holler Miner Obituary

Elaine Stout Holler Miner, 68, passed away in Columbia, Tennessee 06 January 2020.  She was born in Washington, DC 05 April 1957 to Robert Frances and Eva Iola (Stout) Holler. She attended school in the Washington DC area. She was initially employed by the Daughters of the American Revolution as a records adjudicator and later by the United States Navy Finance Department. Upon consolidation of military finance departments she was employed by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service until her retirement in 2001. She first married Warren Hiatt Macurdy 12 June 1976 and second Denison Wheeler Miner, Jr. 13 August 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Robert Frances Holler, Jr. and Suzanne Roberta Holler and seven infant children. She is survived by her husband, Denison Miner of Lawrenceburg, TN; four children, Angela Lynn Macurdy Friend (George) of Northern Virginia, Melody Ellen Macurdy of Santa Rosa, CA, Stephen Anthony Macurdy of Northern Virginia and Sarah Elizabeth Elaine Macurdy Carpenter (David) of Tobyhanna, PA; two grandchildren, Thabien Anthony and Alister Demetrius Carpenter; as well as step-daughters, Verlinda Miner Miller of Lewisburg, TN, Kimberly Miner Jordan of Oswego, OK and Heather Miner Rundquist of Pflugerville, TX; and 12 step-grandchildren.  She loved gardening, dancing, genealogy and crafts of all types. She was especially fond of her Pomeranian dogs and puppies. She was a member of the Lawrenceburg Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A memorial service for Elaine Stout Holler Miner will be held Saturday, 11 January 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Lawrenceburg Ward,The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel.
