Gary Wayne Chapman

Gary Wayne Chapman, age 72, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at home in Summertown, TN.  He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and of the Christian Faith.  Gary served his country honorably in the Army National Guard.

Gary was born November 10, 1951, the youngest of three sons to the late Nelson Odell and Frances Bishop Chapman.

Gary was the founder of Maintenance Products, Inc., a successful family business in Nashville, TN.  He took great pride in his dedication to hard work while being committed to helping those around him be successful.  But perhaps Gary will be most remembered for his ability to weave stories that captivated everyone around him.  Whether it was sharing tales of his youth, imparting wisdom gained through experience, or simply entertaining his friends and family, his stories had a way of bringing people together and leaving a lasting impression.   

He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Chapman; daughters, Dawn Apollo Wesley (Rick), Kelly Renea Powers (Ty); grandsons, Franklie Leon Beech III (Leah), Matt Powers, Dakota Beech (Kayla), and A.J. Wesley; great-granddaughters, Avery, Rylee, Brynley, and Scottie; and great-grandson, Sonny.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Shaw Cemetery at 1:30 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
