Stephen James Owens, age 67, of Summertown, TN passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his residence.  He was a native of Summertown, TN, retired from Thomas J. Lipton Company, and of the Southern Baptist Faith.  Mr. Owens served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his father, Olon James Owens; and two brothers, Richard Owens and Denver Owens.

He is survived by

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Neal Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017, with Mickey Brackin officiating.  Inurnment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, Tennessee.  Family suggests memorials be made to Summertown Fire & Rescue.
