Rickey Caperton, age 49, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.  Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 03, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, August 04, 2017.  Interment will follow at Hollis Cemetery in Wayne County, TN.

Rickey was born September 6, 1967 in Lawrenceburg to Fred Mack Caperton and Nellie Ruth Hunt Caperton. He was a 1985 graduate of Collinwood High School. Rickey married the love of his life, Christy Rich Caperton on October 17, 1992. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was employed by Dura Automotive Systems. He was a member of Hollis Chapel Church. He loved coaching baseball and served as a board member for Loretto Little League and Dixie Youth Baseball; and was a passionate deer hunter. Rickey was a man of integrity who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Mack Caperton; one sister, Mary Ruth Chapman; and two brothers, Roy Mack Caperton and Jeffrey Lynn Caperton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christy Rich Caperton; his son, Zac; and his daughter, Sofie; mother, Nellie Ruth Caperton; three sisters, Reida Nell Keener, Bonnie Elaine Johnston (Copie), Corinne Marcella Griggs (Marlin); and many nieces and nephews.
