Danny and family,
Mom called today and told me that max had passed. My heart skipped a few beats. What a great man, I am thankful for the many boys he coached and blessed to have been one of them. He was full of life and asked others to raise their bar. A truly great man, I am sure coach will have the angels raising theirs. Heaven is improved with his admission, I am grateful he blessed us all.

So sorry to hear about Max’s death. He had a great impact on all of us who played baseball for him. He was always a gentleman and taught us to be as well. Rest In Peace Max. God Bless your soul. Jamie

I grew up in the ‘50s living on Mahr Avenue by Rotary Park in Lawrenceburg. Back then there was a county baseball league, and many times I watched Mr. Ezell playing and coaching at that park. At the time I only knew that he was from Loretto, but I sure remembered him. He made an impression on a small boy with his enthusiasm, competitiveness and obvious love for the game. I’m sure he leaves a legacy of many similar memories.

I didn't know Mr. Ezell, but I would have liked too. What a loving precious tribute to him.
