Lucian Timothy O'Connor, age 84, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away August 19, 2017.  Born in Loretto, Tennessee on August 17, 1933.  Lucian loved his farm life, as well as his service in the Army, his career with IBM, and most definitely his family, especially his two granddaughters.  He loved traveling the world with his beloved wife, Mary, which they did extensively during their lives together.  Many delighted in his company within his church family at Saint Philip Catholic Church in Franklin, Tennessee where he and Mary were long-time members.  Over the years, he was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose, and VFW lodges.

Lucian, or Lou as many people knew him, was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary O'Connor; parents, Bernard and Della O'Connor; brothers, Martin and Gus O'Connor; sisters, Edna Burris and Ruth O'Connor.

He is survived by his son, Michael "Mike" T. O'Connor of Smyrna, Tennessee; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Harris of Franklin, Tennessee; granddaughters, Brittany N. (Harris) and Kevan Elkins of Sarasota, Florida and Jennifer L. Harris of Knoxville, Tennessee; sisters, June Carter and Irene Benes, both of Chicago, Illinois along with many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  A memorial service will be held at Saint Philip Catholic Church Franklin, TN at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 2, 2017.  The family will receive friends from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM Saturday, September 02, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and inurnment will be conducted at Calvary Cemetery at 5:30 PM Saturday, September 02, 2017 with full military honors.
