Joe,
We were saddened to hear of Joyce's recent passing. We live in Knoxville and only received the news tonight. Gerald and I have such sweet memories of the days at LCHS that we all shared in those happy, bygone days. Joyce will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to pass her way. We ask God to hold you and your family especially close to His heart during this painful time of tender loss.

Joe, Kim, and Ame - We are deeply saddened by your loss of sweet Joyce. What a hoot she was, a little feisty britches, for sure, and, oh, how we looked forward to being within earshot of her hilarious stories. We remember her fondly for her truly delightful personality, full of charm, and generous to a fault; her marvelous wit, big smile, heartfelt hugs; and how she instantly & always made us lovingly feel right at home.

I was so surprized and saddened to hear of your mom's (Joyce's) death. While news doesn't travel fast to New Zealand where I live now, this news arrived too fast. It's hard to let it soak in that our friendly smiling neighbor of years ago is now gone. Joe, I remember your family so fondly and send with this message my heartfelt sympathy and prayers.

I have such fond memories of living next door to the Hodges in Stonehenge while growing up. So sorry to hear about Joyce and wish comfort to all of you who are left without her shining presence in your daily lives. I know she was well loved and will be missed dearly.
