James L. Calton, age 82, of Summertown, TN passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from TVA, and a member of Summertown Church of Christ. Mr. Calton was also a member of Mimosa Lodge No. 542, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason, and an Al Menah Shriner.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Calton, Sr. and Jewell Rackley Calton; his wife, Ruth Davenport Calton; two brothers, Cecil Calton and Ernest Calton, Jr.; and two sisters, Carol Stephens and Shirley Copeland.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2016, with Jacob Evans officiating and a Masonic Service to follow. Interment will follow at Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.
